Chief’s Report

On behalf of the officers and members, let me welcome you to the Kensington Fire-Rescue website. I hope that you find the site informative and visit it frequently.

We provide fire and emergency rescue services within the town along with the Berlin, East Berlin and South Kensington Volunteer Fire Departments.

Our organization is staffed completely by volunteers. Our firefighters, your neighbors, are proud participants in an organization that was founded in 1935. Today, we have approximately thirty members in the department. Our firefighters are trained and equipped to respond professionally to all types of fire and rescue emergencies.

We are mainly funded through the Town of Berlin’s budget along with funds raised through our annual raffle. I encourage you and your family to visit us at the fire station. The best time to stop by is Monday evenings between 7:00 – 9:00 pm. We are always looking to increase our membership with new people who are interested in helping other people. Currently, we have openings for firefighters and MRT/EMT’s. There are also openings for staff support services for those that are not interested in responding to emergencies.

It’s challenging work with a great sense of personal satisfaction and community involvement. Applications are available at the station and will be on-line soon.

To keep fire safety in mind, please visit our links page where valuable information can be found. If you have any questions about your fire department, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Jeff Pajor
Chief
