Kensington Fire-Rescue is actively seeking firefighters, medical response technicians, emergency medical technicians, fire/police and administrative members.
Become part of a progressive volunteer emergency response organization in the area. Training is provided and the benefits are limitless.
Getting started with Kensington Fire-Rescue is easy…
Basic Requirements:
ALL PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS:
- Must be at least 18 years old age.
- No previous experience is required.
- Application process to include criminal background check.
FIREFIGHTER and MRT/EMT:
- Passing of department entry physical.
- Completion of basic orientation training, including CPR, Infection Control and Introduction to Kensington Fire Rescue Standard Operating Guidelines and Procedures.
- Completion of Firefighter-I and or Connecticut MRT/EMT program.
- Attendance at weekly drills, monthly meetings and special events.
FIRE POLICE:
- Passing of department entry physical.
- Completion of basic orientation training, including CPR, Infection Control and Introduction to Kensington Fire Rescue Standard Operating Guidelines and Procedures.
- Completion of Connecticut Fire Academy Fire Police Procedures program.
ADMINISTRATIVE MEMBERS:
- Posses administrative skill required by the department.
