BERLIN - A man climbing alone on Ragged Mountain fell 40 feet Friday evening, causing head and abdomen injuries, but dialed for help and brought on a tricky and potentially dangerous rescue operation.

Silent Auction wins Hubbard student a KFR ride to school

KFR assists with Cyanide leak

On Friday, August 17, Kensington Fire and all departments from the Town of Berlin assisted with a leak of Cyanide at a local factory. Several people were transported to local hospitals and the town provided a decontamination area as well as assistance with the medical needs of the patients.

Federal firefighting grants awarded

On March 2, 2007, Kensington Fire Rescue and the entire Town of Berlin was awarded $174,000 dollars for purchase of safety equipment, specifically new turn-out gear town wide.
